'Game Day bucket go BOOM!'

It's the SUPER BOWL!
Or as people like me who are less than football fanatics call it- it's the BEYONCE BOWL!

Whatever you are calling it, its exciting all around! And we can't get enough of that funny KFC commercial.

That's right, I'm not going B-A-N-A-N-A-S right now over who's going to win- the 49'ers or the Ravens (unlike my hubby- he loves the game of football even if his team isn't playing- he's a DIE HARD, DIE HARD, DIE HARD born and raised REDSKINS fan- Did I forget to say DIE HARD fan?). Every SINGLE time I feel so sad for him when they lose, stupid football team. He's already got his afternoon planned out for this big game. Which naturally means I've got to get him to do some stuff for me around the house before he's totally useless to me.

Anyway, don't get me wrong, I enjoy a nice football game now and again. I mean I WAS a Cheerleader in high school- even made captain my junior year, so I kinda just ended up learning the basics of the game and ended up liking it too (Richard was on the team so that was obvi another reason why I decided to actually learn the game). But for me its more about the comradery of it all; the buying of the booze and deciding when enough is enough, the cooking of hot dogs and hamburgers, pre-gaming (which nowadays are VERY few and far between for me) and the process of getting ready (for us girls); the team colors coordinating make-up, the outfit and the cute hat to match.

I will admit though, there is something romantic about football. When you get pass the big strong guys wearing heavy shoulder pads in sweaty helmets and dirty football cleats, it's awesome seeing the epitome of an AMERICAN sport being played with such passion. It's beautiful to follow a game of players who most started out playing for the love of the game at a young age.  Or maybe I'm just a weirdo who sees romance in sweaty men defending a football...

GAME DAY BUCKET GO BOOM!

XO & Baixinhos! (It's an endearing term in Portuguese meaning 'little children')
