See, I am subscriber to the philosophy of life being a schmorges board- we need a little bit of everything in this life we live. That's why I love buffets, flea markets, the dollar section at Micheal's craft store, free samples at Costco and anything small and compact in size- except for McDonalds french fries; I can totally devour an extra large order in minutes without even blinking... Such a fatty!
Anyway, this month's box was their 'Winter Survival' Box curated by The Man Repeller. My January box arrived in February (they're new so 'growing pains' are expected)... near February 3rd I was getting a little impatient but let me tell you, this little lady doesn't even care anymore as this box was well worth the wait! Forewarning: I don't know what happened but these pictures didn't come out 'picture perfect' to say the least.
How cute is the note and packaging!
No, your eyes aren't fooling ya, that's right its a full size OPI nail polish bottle in "Can't Let Go" Liquid Sand Nail Lacquer ($9.00). The color is super interesting and I can't wait to try it. I'm usually not a bright purply color person as I love my pinks and nudes but this is actually a matte color with a hinty hint hint of shimmer and spring is around the corner.
Next up is the sample size of Estée Lauder Mascara Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume ($25 full size). I mean need I say more? You can NEVER have too many mascaras! It has three different high-volume fibers to build bigger and bolder extreme lashes...YES!
Vincent Longo Liptain SPF 15 Lipstick full size in the color AMERICANA ($23). Notice how my clumsy self already dinged the top of the lipstick, oh Erika! When I first saw this in my box I was kinda bummed because the alternative lipstain was the Tarte Glamazon in Fierce that I really wanted to try but as soon as I put this on, I loved it. Its a softer red lip so it tints your lips with a sheer smooth shiny and soft finish. LOVES IT!
Narciso Rodriguez for her Eau de Toilette Spray. It's a soft floral scent and very feminine. This was my least fav of the box but that's because I'm an old lady and like to stick to what I know when it comes to smells I wear. Nonetheless, a nice little trial size that I will def use for those extra smelly days where I forget to put on something (whatever, come on, we all have those days).
The Le Métier de Beauté Replenishing Daily Solution (full size $225.00/1.17oz- yeah, not a typo) is suppose to protect, condition and hydrate the skin with SPF 30 and its paraben-free (To get a bit science-y on ya, parabens are preservatives found in cosmetics formed from acid and alcohol). I'm all about using more natural make up whenever possible. Usually I'd frown upon foil samples because I feel like you can get this free at your local Nordie's (Nordstorm) but I'm excited to try this- if anything else I'm about to have portion of $225 fancy shmancy cream on my face!
Lastly, is the Fresh Umbrian Clay Mattifying Serum in 0.17 oz (Full size $35.00/1oz). This is a serum that claims to neutralize the acidity in our skin while purifying and clarifying it. I'm mostly excited to try it because it says its suppose to control shine and minimize the appearance of pores.
Overall I really liked the box! Like I said, it was super late and they had some issues and people were getting annoyed, etc., me included. But I'm scheduled to get a February box as I am sure thousands more are too, so they're definitely doing something right!
Disclosure: I purchased this myself. All opinions are mine and 100% honest.
